Sabanfan, in all honesty, you have serious issues. Anytime somone mentions the word "Saban" and any of the following words (lose, lost, can't, bad) you get your panties in a bunch. I am a huge Saban supporter and think the guy has earned his keep by what he has done for this program. My post in no way belittled Saban and I tend to believe that you're are the only one here that took it as such. I was simply stating the facts, pal. The fact is Saban lost to the Gators last year. It really did happen, get over it. Sabanfan reminds me of a kid with a huge mole on his lip and if anyone even mentions the word "mole", he throws a fit. GET OVER IT SABANFAN.
From TigerWire: I've read The Advocate <http://www.2theadvocate.com/stories/110304/spo_rabalais001.shtml>, The Shreveport Times <http://www.shreveporttimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20041103/SPORTS0202/411030319/1028> and other newspapers and they are propagating that the LSU fanbase is dissatisfied with The Tigers performance so far this season. I'm not buying it. I talk to Tiger fans everyday and not one of them feel this way. Of course the media started out the season with LSU in the top 3 or 4 but everyone knew this team was the youngest in the SEC, had little experience at quarterback, lost some outstanding talent (8 players from last year's team were on opening day rosters) to the NFL, and had a hell of a road schedule. So maybe the media should be looking in the mirror. Sure there are some disgruntled fans. You have them at every school. They are the same ones that boo their own team. But you can't stereotype all LSU fans. I hear they are very proud of what this team and coaching staff have accomplished and look forward to the remainder of the season.
Aaaalriggghty then, that made a lot of sense. Sabanfan has finally gone off the deep end. Can't say I didn't see it coming.
SabanFan: (n) Fan of Saban. I am, therefore I must. I am the defender of all that is right and good. I wil smite all who use the name of Nick in vain. I am the caped crusader, championing the rights of those who are not disgruntled and those who do not boo. Those who do will feel my wrath. Those who don't will be spared. All right. That's enough. I'm starting to sound like Jean Lafitte. :hihi:
I am stunned by Spurrier not going back to Florida because I thought it would happen but I am very happy that this is the story. This is a quote from Spurrier, I guess some one should tell Joe Pa and Bobby Bowden about this quote. "Many people in football believe that around 10-12 years in the same job is about the maximum time a coach should stay."
Ahhh old grasshoppa.. If only you had paid attention to me in the 'Would you want Spurrier" thread, you would not have been so stunned. > Old Thread <
As I stated earlier, you've got issues. ""SabanFan", please wipe my poop off of your nose and stay away from my arse".
I'm surprised he is withdrawing his name. There is more to this than appears on the surface. Would serve no purpose to go into it. I heard Joe Pa is next on Foley's list. Funny take from a Gatpr fan: Re: Spurrier Takes Name Out of Contention, per Gatorsports* -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UGA and UT fans are breathing a big sigh of relief right now. I heard Fulmer just ordered a new box of donuts in celebration!
I figured that Florida would probably want him and did indeed go after him. However, based on Supurrier's comments in the past he had insinuated that his coaching future is pretty short and he does not plan on coaching too far into the future beyond around five years. This was confirmed with him turning down the Florida job... > ESPN Article < Kirk Herbstreit summed it up nicely in his article. > Kirk's Article <
