    Texas wants Spurrier...bad. It would be a great fit. Year-round golf for him. A coach who can live up to the hype and actually coach the great recruits that go to Texas.

    They have the facilities and the money to make the deal.

    Wouldn't it be incredible to see Stoops and Spurrier facing each other across the field in the Red River Shootout?

    Spurrier's offense is a warm-weather offense. You can't open it up in the cold like you can in the warm South.

    I have no problem with him going to UT. Let all the Texas schools and OK continue to duke it out for those Texas recruits. Mack Brown is already a good recruiter. Won't really impact LSU.

    And its extremely rare that we would play any Big 12 schools anyway, much less a UT team that is a perennial top 40.

    I wouldn't exactly lump Texas into the perennial top 40 category. During Brown's tenure, they've been a perennial top 10, but have failed to ascend to the very top. That's what Texas fans are going after next, and Spurrier fills the bill.
