Oh well, this just shows that USC isn't as good as the media thinks. Stanford was 6-16 over the past 2 years. That's like LSU stuggling to beat Vanderbilt or Kentucky.

Lets give it up for Stanford's offensive coordinator! It takes a lot to shut down an offense that put up 300 yards in the first half, but he did a hell of a job of doing it. USC has the worst pass defense in D-I. Marcus Randall could light these scrubs up. Even if USC does run the table Oklahoma will beat these guys by 30 points. USC got exposed (again!). Once they play a defense that can tackle someone this Reggie Bush fellow doesn't look so hot.

By the way, USC had to fight to the very end against a very inferior Stanford team.

If the polls operated consistently, they would fall out of first place. However, we all know that teams ranked 2-25 fall when they have close calls against clearly inferior teams, but for some reason the pollsters don't have the nuts to do the same to a #1 team.

Is there any question, given both this game and the Va Tech game, that Oklahoma is the true #1 team in the country at this point? OU has done nothing---nothing---but dominate.

Oklahoma was already the #1 team before today in my eyes, USC proved they are nothing more than a top 10 team. Their defense is average. At best. Aaron Rodgers is going to tear that secondary apart. Cal will put up 500 yards of offense easily. Cal beats USC again this year. If we run the table from here on out we could go to Miami. But that is a big if.
