Started to see cracks in this defense 2 weeks ago

I expected to see rough spots with our offense being led by Lee and Hatch. But Jeezus!!! ..... I didn't expect anyone to score 51 freakin' points on us. I never expected to see us getting blown off the line, both on O and D. Wow.
I'm now going to drink heavily. And maybe tomorrow, too. :sob::sob::sob:

Of course. Still, the two coordinator move-up bothers me. It bothered me way before tonight.

There is no doubt, Florida had a lot to do with it.

But we go into the game unprepared and poorly coached on D. That's an issue. That's why Florida scored 51 instead of 27 tonight.

The defensive game-planning is definitely leaving something to be desired. I can't pinpoint it exactly, but even in the UNT game, passes were being completed, and I can assure you, UNT shouldn't have crossed midfield on us.

Our pass rushers perpetually seem to be a half step late getting to the QB--all season. Something is wrong with the scheme.

Someone earlier pointed to our defense personnel. I don't think that's the problem. We have some absolute studs out there, but something isn't clicking, and don't kid yourselves about Pelini, because our defense was an Achilles Heel since the Tulane game last year.

Absolutely shocked that we could give up 51 points! I'll give UF credit where credit is due, but still... The porous defense is certainly a factor here, but what happened to our OL? We couldn't run to save ourselves, and the OL is supposed to be our strength.

How did Ole Miss beat them, and at Fla no less? Did UF underestimate them?

Well, hopefully this is the bad loss out of our system now. Let's regroup and play better next week.

Well everyone wanted Tenuta and Notre Dame's defense looked god awful today.

Agreed about not getting to the QB. On one play Jackson was a half second from probably causing Tebow to fumble, instead it was a 35 yard completion down to the 2 yard line.

    Florida did overlook Ole Miss.

They won't make the mistake again. Florida will run the table.

I just hope we are there to meet them with just one loss in the SEC CG.

I also thought we would hire Tenuta, but I have a feeling that Miles didn't get a good vibe from him.

I remember exactly the play you're talking about. It's exactly that sort of stuff that I'm talking about, not getting to the QB quite in time. We're always about to be there, but not quite. What's the root of that? It's not the level of players we have.

LSU with this defense is gonna have real problems with Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, Carolina. This Defense has no speed - Every team we have played in the conference (at the time they played us)had their high score for the season against us..

Dude, Notre Dame doesn't have 1/8 the defensive players LSU does OK? This is a stupid point. You have to admit this is a stupid point. Say it.
