Starting Rotation for the tournament

Game 1 Mestepey or Meir
Game 2 Smith
Game 3 Dirks
Game 4 everybody

 

Got to be kidding about starting anybody but your best pitcher in game 1. We cannot afford to lose game one. We just don't have the hitting.

So you think we need our Ace to beat Marist?

 

I didn't say that but I'd be interested in what Soap has to say about that. I'd throw the Taco.

 

if thats true, we can just hang it up now. Like smoke said, we have to have mesty.

 

Smith does not need to start against Marist, I'm not against Mesty starting that game, but Dirks is probably the smart move.

 

If Smoke keeps with what he and Skip normally do we will see somebody such as English, or anther pitcher not in our normal starting rotation.

 

Gotta disagree with you. The first game is against the #4 seed. The Ace pitchers need to be saved for the higher seeds. Win or lose, the Tigers go on to play a higher seed. Winning the first game isn't going to help much if the arms needed aren't available for what will likely be tougher games.

 

Mestepey v. Marist

Smith v. Rice

Taco v. Nw St.

Dirks v. Whoever we play to win Region

This allows us to use Mestepey, Smith, Dirks in Supers.... but I could also see us using Dirks v. Rice in Rd 2 and saving Smith for the Final game in order to keep the regular season rotation intact.
