Maybe, we'll see when he plays against some first teamers somewhere down the road. And I feel comfortable based on results that Flynn is an ordinary 2nd teamer and that I'd rather he get more experience right now than RP.
Flynn is more than your average backup- I don't care what excuse you through out for DaU, he was MVP of the Peach Bowl. He should be playing in front of RP in every case- and experience is part of that. Now, should he be pulled sooner? Yes. I think it's good to give JR time to handle the O, but I don't think most of the third is necessary. And Flynn should have come out of the game midway in the fourth- we know he can handle the system without too much playing time, but RP has five plays total experience. The last backup QB behind a strongarmed, massive QB who was MVP in the Georgia Dome went on to lead us... where? I think something crystal-like...
Because most schools plan to replace their 3rd stringer, not develope them into the future of the team.
Back earlier in this topic, we mentioned that Miles has said numerous times that Alley isn't where he should be conditioning-wise. He won't be at 100% till midway/end of the season.
