Weis. And Hawkings is smarter than most people in many things. but its hard to be an expert in fantasy.
That is the kind of crap I am talking about....one of these days a scientist is going to make a mistake and kill off a billion people or something.
Thanks for the heads up on Weis... I'd be willing to bet he doesn't know shit about fixing cars. Or raising a child. Those things are pretty damn important. And as far as fantasy goes, you could be right. It could be all b.s. It's hard to know for sure, I agree. But I sure as hell am not going to listen to someone so reckless as to step outside his field of expertise and make statements regarding God.
Guys who can fix cars make a middle class or less wage. Weis has made millions because he had Tom Brady to make him look like a genius
you dont need to know shit about anything if you have enough money. also, hawkings may as well be the best to resort to since there are no experts in god. because we dont know if there is one. may as well get an actual objective view.
I meant Hawkings didn't know anything about cars/children, not Weis. How the hell can you call someone who doesn't believe in God an objective source in a discussion about God? You are confusing the objectivity of science with the human being whose profession is science. Hawking is not objective in this discussion, he has an assertion which he is defending. There is nothing objective about it.
because scientists deal with proof. why would you ask for proof of god from someone with a preconceived notion god exists even with zero proof? you have it backwards.
Scientists deal with material. They measure things. God is not material. They have nothing to say about it from their measurements. Zero. Tell me where they did an experiment regarding God. I would be interested in that. The scientist is making an assertion which he cannot support from his work. It is an impossibility. As far as people who believe in God, yes I would rather discuss the subject with them. Just like I would rather be in a courtroom where people believe in Justice. Otherwise the exercise is pointless.
