Why should they be penalized for taking school seriously? My question is why doesn't every student athlete graduate in 3 years?
He got his degree, he's not being penalized. Now if he keeps up the pace and takes classes that can lead to an advanced degree or double major that's one . If he becomes a 95% athlete and 5% student on a full pay scholarship it seems out of sync with the concept. It's not illegal and it doesn't make him a bad person. In fact he seems like a really good guy. It's just another gap in the student athlete concept.
If they play after they get their bachelors degree, they must be enrolled in graduate school to be eligible, so they are still students. By graduating early, he doesn't have to sit a year to play in Division I. Smart move by Rivers that gives him an extra year to play.
It depends on whether Cameron has decided to move to a mobile quarterback only offense. Of course, Cam has shown with Mettenberger that we can win with a pro-style quarterback. I suspect they would like to have both options and Rettig has no competition as a drop-back passer now. Jennings has not yet shown that he has the stuff to start in the SEC and the freshman is not going to come in and start. Rettig has a good opportunity in the spring to move way up the chart.
Please Hayden, Please!!! Get your shit on point! Show the team and coaches why you were ranked atop the best in the nation out of high school.
Exactly. He is in this position because he took care of work in the classroom. Having 2 years to play 2 is much better than 2 years to play 1.
Maybe it's because he was like 20 years old when he was a senior in high school? Just saying...maybe that was it?
