This makes me think of France rattling their sabers at UN Security Council meetings...everybody lets them talk and feel good about themselves. Then laugh hysterically at them later. What a clown.
How do you spell prick? S-T-O-O-P-S! I saw that on the news last night. Same old **** from the same old ****!
Stoops was just responding back to something that Miles said a day or so earlier about OU and hisself. Miles has a mancrush on Stoops. Seems like Miles should be more concerned about the SEC conference than OU. So who is the real clown? http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=stoopsvsmiles
neither one can really brag about anything... the sooners got beat by an "inferior LSU team" a year and a half ago, and got TOTALLY EMBARRASSED by USC just 5 months ago... yes miles' OSU team did get beaten by OU this past year... but he is batting .500 so to speak against stoops... I do agree that its better to go to a championship game, than to not go. but I also think its better not to go, than to get humiliated.
Damn, I kind of liked Peabody....... but for that comment, I'll have to go watch the 2004 Sugar Bowl again. care to join me, Peabody?
The real clown is, in fact, Stoops. How else to explain a coach that is barely one notch above Mack Brown in performance when it counts, yet thinks he's God's gift to coaches? And he's commenting on a rah rah quote from Miles that had more to do with LSU and less to do w/ OU? Of course he's not going to root for the in-state rival. Jeez...:dis: It burned Miles that Stoops had the Big 12 Championship? Seriously? Of COURSE OU is going to have the edge on being a championship contender. Yet Stoops has squandered that twice in the last two years, including embarassing the entire country outside of the Pac 10 last year. So yea, he's the clown. But thanks for posting that link...that's among my favorite clips ever.
That's BS and you of all people should know that Mr. Peabody. Miles was specifically asked a question by a reporter of who he was rooting for in the Sugar Bowl. So he wasn't taking a pot shot at OU or Stoops. Stoops is egomaniacal and you know it and if you don't just watch the halftime interview of that Sugar Bowl. The difference between a Stoops and Spurrier, who is also egomaniacal, is that Spurrier knows how to turn a phrase and make it humorous. Stoops comes across as a prick by making Lynn Swann clarify between #1 defense & #1 scoring defense during a 30 second interview...come on - get off your high horse. Then he never gives credit for teams beating OU, it's always that OU made too many mistakes and lost the game. Well the Trojans put that theory to rest.
Stoops was just angry that Miles beat his ass two consecutive years with a much under-manned team. Better coaching so to say
That is such BS. I've watched, listened to, and read his post game comments after a loss. He always takes full responsibility and says that OU got outcoached and outplayed by the opponent. Texas fans used to get mad at Stoops because he wouldn't make excuses after a loss like their Coach Mack Brown did. Mack always blamed the wind or something we they lost.
