I couldn't be more excited. A pro-LSU atmosphere between the most storied program in the history of football (ha, Bama) and the hottest program of the last 5 years is something to look forward to.

We can finally see just how good of a coach Les is (as if we needed more proof).
We can finally see if ND will ever win a bowl again.
We can finally see if the vaunted LSU secondary is worth a lick.

And we can finally get an LSU game in the Superdome. To quote someone on ESPN: "I was there for the Saints opening game. This will be that times ten. Notre Dame had better be ready for Death Valley, the Indoor Edition."

As I said, I could not be more excited.

i understand where you're coming from. my biggest problem with the system is that mich lost and didn't drop in the polls. that was the real problem.

That's part of my point. They lost and didn't fall, but then stayed home and fell? Then the following week stayed home and got jumped again? WTF is going on here. But we're supposed to be happy because it worked out for US. Beleive me I am happy for LSU, but I think this is terrible for the sport.

Who said that? They're an idiot. I love LSU but nothing ever will compare to the first Saints game this year. Nothing.

One more note, when I was at LSU I went to 2 Indepedence Bowls and 1 Peach Bowl. Since 2001 its been sugar, cotton, sugar, capital one, peach, sugar. Current students have no idea how good they have it.

You're kidding, right? ND has the edge at QB? Listen, JR may not always make the right decisions in tight spots, but I would take him every day and twice on Sunday over Quinn. And yes, Smarga (or however you spell his name) is very good, but we have a FLEET of wideouts who can catch the ball and then FLY! ND may have the best baseball pitcher on their football team (again, Smarga) but we have a better 3rd baseman than they do (C. Jackson)!

BTW, I would say that the coaches are probably even in personality, passion, and ability. Neither leaves me sanguine about how deep their true passions run, but maybe that's what we need. (I'd still take Saban over either one of them!)

you're my age then. my last year at LSU was dinardo's last year at LSU :hihi:

comparing it to the saints game is apples and oranges. the dome will be rocking but not as emotional/moving as the saints return.

but the decibel level will be comparable.

Just quoting someone. I don't think it will be anything like the Saints game- I cried, and I was watching on TV.

I just think it'll be loud.
