From an NCAA perspective, this so far pales in comparison to the crooks at USC and their favorite cheater Reggie Bush. If USC didn't lack institutional control with agents IN THE LOCKER ROOM and ON THE SIDELINE, there's absolutely no way this will amount to anything. As for the criminal side, isn't it more than a bit ironic that Louisiana would be tough on shady dealings, but California would be OK with it! :hihi:
lol, not me I'm goin to Missouri to see some monster truck buddies run a 2500HP top alky engine thru some MUD.
Seems like the players turned him in. I don't think the character of LSU football team will decline in to that of Miami in the near future.
My cousin from Alabama called and said it is already being reported there that LSU is paying its players. First, if the players received anything it would have been from the sports agent, but from what I can gather they did not receive anything. It is surprising how quick other states jump on LSU the first chance they get before checking out the facts.
Needless to say, Tulane fans are all a twitter also. They are wondering how many LSU players should have been ineligible for the LSU/tulane game. *rolls eyes*
Sorry guys, but this is a serious issue concerning institutional control. How anyone could propose any other viewpoint is beyond me. LSU blatantly recruited top tier athletes, the type that pro sports\agents would covet. Classic case of entrapment. Quit hoarding all that talent and agents will not come sniffing around. Stop acting so innocent.:hihi:
Even though it reeks I think it is more along the lines of a crimnal arrest...much like an athlete may be arrested for assualt or possesion. It won't effect the program unless money changed hands. What pisses me off is some "outsider" who came here trying to make a buck shady. Probably did the same where ever he was before.
I was curious where he came from too. The Advocate today: Laboy, who was an assistant to the strength and conditioning coach during college at St. Mary’s in Moraga, Calif., A native of West Sacramento, Calif., Gaines earned one letter as a running back at San Jose State University in 2001.
