1. If you would read the top, you would answer most of your questions. We'll find out all the details today, but I have no more info until we all get the email.
  2. what i heard

On the radio, they said that students would have to log on to their PAWS account to get a ticket. and everyone else would have to wait until today for the announcement about the rest of the tickets
  3. Here is the email that all students should have gotten in their paws account.

The LSU Tigers will play the University of Oklahoma for the college
football national championship on Sunday, January 4, 2004.

This e-mail is to advise you of procedures for fulltime LSU-Baton Rouge
campus students to request tickets. Due to the limited number of tickets,
this offer can only be extended to students of the LSU-Baton Rouge campus.
Due to final exams and the demands on students' time the following
    procedure will be followed.

    1. Current fulltime LSU -- Baton Rouge students wishing to request a ticket
to the Nokia Sugar Bowl must log on to www.LSUsports.net to apply. (To
qualify for fulltime status you must be currently carrying a minimum of 12
undergraduate hours or nine graduate hours.)

Students may apply during any of the following times:

    Tuesday, December 9 -- 5 p.m. until Friday, December 12 -- 5 p.m.

STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO REQUEST ONE (1) TICKET.

IMPORTANT: The order in which you apply online will have no bearing on
whether or not you receive tickets. This is NOT a first come, first served
procedure. You may apply anytime during the hours posted above to apply for
    your ticket.

    2. There is a $1 application fee, payable by Visa, MasterCard or American
Express only. If you are selected to receive tickets, your card will be
charged the remaining ticket cost immediately. ALL TICKETS TO THE NOKIA
    SUGAR BOWL ARE $150 EACH.

    3. LSU has allotted 2,000 tickets for students for the Nokia Sugar Bowl. If
over 2,000 LSU students apply for tickets, a lottery will be held and
winners will be notified by e-mail and have their credit cards processed by
    Monday, December 15.

If 2,000 students or less apply for tickets, all applicants will receive
tickets and will be notified and have their credit cards processed by
    Monday, December 15.

To insure that LSU Students utilize all tickets allocated to that group it
will be required all selected students bring a valid LSU ID to the game on
Sunday, January 4. You will be issued a ticket at that time to enter the
Louisiana Superdome. THERE WILL BE NO TRANSFERS. All students wishing to be
    seated together must arrive together.

If you have any questions, call the LSU Athletics Ticket Office at (225)
    578-2184.
  4. First of all my friend is the shit. He knew all this last night. Secondly, the ticket office seems to have done something right for a change. Do you agree with the system?
  5. I beleive this is an improvement. I know for a fact that the whole group of guys that I typically go to the game with won't all get tickets. My group was guilty of scanning more IDs than persons going but we didn't take it to the extreme, we only scanned 9 IDs and got 4 tickets. I guess this is the most fair system so far.
  6. I much prefer the online system. Alot less hassle, but I wonder how good the seats will be?
  7. I wont care. As long as my butt is in a seat!
  8. Sounds good to me. Did I read it right, do we not get the ticket until we get to the the gate?
  9. I'll bet that amazingly, the LSU costumed Attention Whores will all get prime seats for plenty of face time...

They'll amazingly all be seated together and all amazingly get chosen in the lottery...
  10. I think this system is stupid. What are you supposed to do with the ticket if you can't go and it ends up being a last minute thing? If you can't find a student to give the ticket to it gets wasted. I think people should be allowed to sell their tickets to whomever they want. I guarantee you the celebrities that are paying over $1500 for tickets aren't diehard fans of either schools. I don't see anyone bitching about companies selling tickets for so much over face value.
