    Yes but not for white trout or ground mullets. Something live shrimp are ehat the big specs want.

    I've never in my life fished with a live shrimp. In fact the only time I've even seen a live shrimp is shortly after they come out of the trawl or cast net and they die shortly after. I was totally being facetious.

    They sell live shrimp in some bait stores near the coast as well as live minnows and live croakers. You have to have a good live well with an aerator pump to keep them alive.

    That is crazy, we used to murder the specs and red's and always just used bait shrimp that were of course dead for a long time

    Live bait sometimes works when they are not biting on the dead stuff.
