Robertson had her chance. Turned down LSU as both a player and coach. She can go stuff it. As for Gunter, about time. Bring on coach from Purdue but Pokey will get it as Skip has said he will let Gunter select her replacement.

I was really hoping Sue would be able to at the very least coach one final full year. As the season progressed though, it became more and more obvious that her illness was truly a struggle to overcome. Hopefully she gets something more than a noon press conference in parting from LSU. It would be nice to see LSU honor her in some meaningful way, which I don't doubt they will.

I'm sure they will give her some lovely parting gifts.

They'd freaking better. She's been here for what, 2000 years? She's immensely respected among the other coaches, and has a solid record. They'd better give her a real parting gift.

Pokey was the acting coach but don't take that to mean that this team was anyone's but Sue Gunter. It was her offensive gameplan, her defensive gameplan, her recruits, etc. Pokey did a great job continuing what Sue started this year.

I would be open to a national search for the best coach possible.
