I never saw this either. I was petrified he was coming here when the search was on. Mediocre at best.
He is prob much better than mediocre but still not worth what he was asking, especially not guaranteed.
Amazing to think that just a few years ago he was the hottest coach in the country, now he is out of a job. It's a what have you done for me recently world.
Sumlin will land at a lower Power 5 or an upper G5 school and do very well. He is a quality coach; aTm just thinks they are what they aren't... elite.
Sumlin makes QBs run from him. The exodus there of highly touted QBs leaving matches the OL exodus from LSU last year. That was a one year thing though. He also cannot field a decent defense which is unacceptable. There's a lot of talent on defense in Texas, but the best they all leave to go to other schools. We get a lot of defensive talent from Texas. Then add in the fact he's lost 7 straight home SEC games.. yikes.
I have no sympathy for sumlin or A&M. They didn't handle things right with Chavis and tampered before his last game. They deserve what they get. I hope our guys come ready today cause we need to keep A&M down. And because of chavis I want him to retire with sumlin
and I am not that big of Fisher fan either. I think he didn't do as well with the talent at fla st as he should have.
