We ran ourselves out of that inning.

 

LSU has made some really stupid base-running decisions today. They need a course in base-running 101.

 

Between our mistakes and all close calls going to Rice, this game is a lot closer than it should be.

Good thing we have a 10 foot tall 2nd baseman. Nother highlight.

-LeMahieu grounds out, 2 outs
-Schimpf singles, runner at 1st, 2 outs
-Dean pops up, 3 outs

Nola and Mahtook were frosh baserunning bloopers (though Mahtook looked safe). I think that double steal was called in the dugout. I still like the aggressive play.

 

I like being aggressive also. This game could be out of reach for Rice had a few risks gone our way.
