The Sugar Bowl was played for many years before the superbowl was even built as did the Saints. I don't remember where the games were played but Louisiana did fine with that setup. The location and logistics would be major issues but I think something could be worked out
I wonder what kind of insurance money they will collect on the dome... could pay for a big chunk of building a new stadium.. I think retractable roof would be best.. allows the convention use with it closed, football with it open..
The Superdome is an outdated junk of a building. I would have attended more Saints games and other events had they not been held in the dome. Blow that ****er up!
I think what was meant that the "WATER" is coming down at the Superdome. These media pricks are always trying to CREATE the news instead of Reporting the news.
The Sugar Bowl is an icon for the state of LA. Like someone mentioned, the committee is made of businessmen from Louisiana and I do not think it will ever leave LA. According to SMG, the company that manages the dome, said during the interview that dome will probably have to come down.
no its not, the dome has been declared "totalled" insurance money will be collected and a new stadium will be built on top of it.
it wasn't the media pricks, it was a direct quote from a spokesperson from SMG, the managing company of the superdome.
