    Re: Les Miles in Iraq

This makes me think about some politicians and others who have been the harshest critics of us being there.
Those that continually bash the war effort and seem to know exactly whats going on in Iraq.
Have any of these people been to Iraq first hand or they all repeating the same talking points.
Have any of them been there to shake the troops hands?
    Food for thought!

I love America and will always support the troops right or wrong!
I would NEVER do anything that would put the troops at greater risk!

Its one thing to criticize being there, Its quite another saying other things to put troops at greater risk!

So, the thought is, if you know what's going on in Iraq, you'll suddenly support the war effort? There are a lot of people in opposition to the war that have been to war before, or even served in Iraq. In fact, I can easily see how a first-hand experience would make you more supportive of the idea to withdraw.

Imagine D-Day, that was a little tougher, from your comment here you would
be for us withdrawing from D-Day?
Just goes back to what I've been saying, America and the youth of today
    has no stomach for war.

    Re: Les Miles in Iraq

How did you or he come up with your conclusion?
    Goodness man?

    Here goes,
The thought is you should show support for the troops in Iraq not say stupid stuff to put them in harms way or more danger.
Nowhere did I say you would suddenly support the war?:dis:
In fact if you were there you might hear some good news instead all the bad displayed by the news media.
In truth, how do you support the troops and not the war effort? btw?
I can understand supporting the troops and the effort but not agreeing with the presidents position.
You still should support the troops and the effort they are giving.

There are a lot of people who opposed the war that didn't go to war just like
there are a lot that support it that have been to war.
I don't see any point in this particular part?

What else to conclude from his last part but its tough in Iraq so we should cut and run.
Iraq isn't really that bad, it could be worse matter of fact it isn't much different than what Isreal has been going through for years but no one cares about that.

What I am saying is that this country is really weak politically and emotionally.
WE have no stomach for war because there are too many people that want to cut and run.
Could I be wrong, maybe, I doubt it there are too many things heading in that
    direction, political correctness, etc.
All we've done is weakened individuals in this country in every way possible.
    1) welfare
    2) political correctness
    3) can't give Johnny a bad grade or hold him back because it might hurt his feelings.

There are no leaders or brave people that are dependent off of government or other people.

    I'll ask it again?
How do you support the troops and not the effort they are putting forth in
    Iraq?
Does the news media support America and her troops in harms way or do
    they support another agenda?

I support the troops there and also support the war there.

I can easily see how someoen would disagree with the war and be 100% supportive of the troops there though.

    Re: Les Miles in Iraq

    You could be right?
I don't know and admit it but I'm tired of the defeatist attitude some have in this country.
I just think when the casualty count comes around next time that the other
side meaning Leftists who paraded in front of the tv who called this Vietnam
and the Butcher of Baghdad could get the credit they deserve for making
things more difficult for the troops.

I'm not trying to stick up for Bush here either.
If he broke the law or lied, got us into an Illegal war if such a thing lets put
him on trial, if he's found guilty than he should be punished.
I have no problems with this!

I personally do believe that we've had it to good for to long not to mention
the dependent state of today, see my post above.
We are a weakened country politically and mentally compared to years ago.

    Re: Les Miles in Iraq

    A thought came to mind:
Is someone who disagrees with the war supporting the troops when they say
such stuff as Bush's war, Vietnam, etc?

Sorry for screwing up the thread!
