I could agree with you if they played someone to prove it. Texas was over ranked with a really green QB at the time of the loss. I'd put our defense up against them. OSU is still young on defense, and I think we move the ball on them with an experienced although occasionally bone-headed QB. Anyway, we shall see.
Good point...but Ohio State's slate of games (Iowa has proven to be quite weak/ I'll concede Texas with my previous points) still doesn't prove to me they are deserving of the no.1 slot. When they finally get through the pile of dung they have over the next few weeks of the season, then they beat Michigan, I will concede that as well. Until then, I still see no no evidence that #'s 2-15 could not get through the same schedule just as unscathed.
the human polls would drop the loser too far for that to happen. a lot of people still have a hang up about a team playing for the nc without winning its own conf after 03 OU.
I guess it's always fun to say anyone who's not in the SEC must play a weak schedule. It looks now like both tOSU and Michigan, barring upsets, will be BCS bound. That will leave Wisconsin and either Penn State or Iowa (perhaps) to fill the CapOne and OutBack. Win or lose, I think you'll see they will represent their conference just fine. As someone said... outside of the top two or three, there's a lot of teams capable of playing good football. On tOSU, the way Tressel plays the game leaves everyone thinking they have a shot. He's somewhat methodical, but with the talent to show flash when needed. Forget the Ginn and Smith hype, that team starts with an O-line that is second to none, a scoring D that's tied with LSU for first, a D that's 4th in t/o margin. His teams just don't make stupid mistakes... and when you're vying to be in the top five, it's the "lapses" that separate the powers to be.

A very close loss to Michigan, even at home, could drop OSU to only 3rd in the polls. At that point it may be too close to call for 2nd place in the BCS.
So who in your opinion is a good team? Not trying to be a jerk, I'm totally serious. You seem to have said that OSU USC ND Texas among others aren't any good. That seems to leave Michigan (who I agree is very strong) and maybe WV and 3-4 teams out of the SEC.
