Notre Dame comes out of this whole situation with Willingham and Myer with nothing to show and looking like an idiot. Foley landing Myer over ND (supposedly Myers dream job) has got to be a major coup for him and he comes out smelling like roses. ND takes a big step down in everyones eyes and winds up with nothing. Welcome to the SEC Coach Myer.
I wouldn't go that far. I bet he would love to be there for another 2-3 years but I can't see him as the vindictive type. He's probably happy to go back to Stanford or another West Coast team.
   ...Nothing quite like seeing the Fighting Irish take a big one up the back door...
Every day is so wonderful, then suddenly, It's hard to breathe Now and then, I get insecure from all the pain I'm so ashamed
funny thing is, ND had the man of their dreams and offered him 1.2 million? quite funny for a school with a tv contract and one who keeps all their bowl money. what a joke they are. Meyer asked for 6 free passes to allow whomever player he wanted in so they could compete on a national level yet they said no. we are ND! we are too good to allow that. Now, they lose the bidding war and on top of it don't bend to compromise with Meyer. lovely, stay mired in mediocrity like delusionAL_ABAMA. more enjoyable for us. idiots. I think Emmert takes a good luck at Ty since he is a very good coach and a quality person. Washington would seem to be a great fit for a Willingham/Emmert marriage.
Maybe Lou Holtz should go back to Notre Dame and stay there until he dies. Dinardo is available for ND :hihi:
