1. These types of things are bitter sweet. Sweet because it increases our chances even more of winning the big game. Bitter because you like to beat the teams while healthy so there are no excuses.

I tend to see them as more bitter than I do sweet because I think our young guys take care of business in Dallas regardless of who suits up for the frogs.

  2. when it comes to 2014 First Round buzz, TCU's best defensive player is CB Jason Verrett. he was also the only TCU player named an All-American last year (he made SI's AA team)

  3. I disagree CS it is all sweet to me. There is nothing bitter about putting up with excuses. I like the sweet sound of a loser whining about a loss, it means that you are continuing to beat them. In the end nobody remembers who didn't get to play, only who won and who loses.

  4. without Fields, TCU will now have 8 starters returning on defense (everybody except for DE Fields, DE Maponga, LB Cain)

LSU will have 4 starters returning on defense

as for TCU's DL, Athlon wrote this last week: TCU has a "a deep and talented defensive line that should be one of the league’s best."
  5. true
  6. Considering the awful, treacherous defenses that the Big XII has displayed in recent years, I don't exactly shudder at a guy with his league-awarded accolades.

  7. His accolades would have happened if he played in the SEC too..........as a TRUE FRESHMAN his numbers for TFL and Sacks are ranked far ahead of ANYONE from LSU. Given the fact he played against 5 of the top 13 offenses in the country I think it is fair to say he earned what he got. The top offense in the SEC is only 1 year removed from the Big 12.
  8. and after adjustments they got their asses handed to them by LSU....do you think the frogs fare any better????
  9. Uh, no. The Big XII is a soft, finesse league. Period. I think the Aggies demonstrated that pretty well.
