    Southern Mississippi - Logical choice
Wyoming - They played Auburn recently
    Ball St.
    Boise St.
    Bowling Green
    Hawaii
    Mid Tenn. St.
Nebraska - Now that would draw some attention
Notre Dame - Another good one
    Oregon
    Pittsburg
    Purdue
    Stanford
Texas A&M - My favorite choice

I'm sure there are more these are just the ones I found. Who
would you like to play from this list? I would tell Va. Tech to
bite me in 2007 and schedule a home and home with Texas
    A&M.

I'd like to play Oregon for the heck of it. Nebraska would be a great choice so we can avenge those Orange and Sugar Bowl defeats. The mid-majors are starting to demand home and home or 2 for 1 deal so it might be tough to get someone decent like Boise St or Hawaii.

NO A&M... PLEASE NO. Plus Fran would never do it.

Get a home and home with Notre Dame, but when we go to Notre Dame it has to be in November. So we can experience it again... (I had a blast up there)

Nebraska would be a great one.

If we do Hawaii. MUST HAVE A HOME AND HOME !!!!!

I like the idea of going "out of section", as we would have with VaTech(Losers!). I would be happy to see Oregon, Nebraska, Purdue, Stanford, or Pitt. Problem is, I don't think any of them would realistically go for it. VT definitely needs to be told to take a hike for 2007, but since they'll be in the new "Super" ACC, they likely find a reason to weasel out again, anyway.

Most of these teams already have 11 games scheduled don't they?

I think we're looking at Division I-AA which really sucks.

I'd like to see either Big 10 or PAC 10. These are schools we would almost never play except in a BCS bowl. LSU will only do home and homes with teams during 12-game seasons. So, Rad has some work in front of him, because of the other home and homes he is looking at at the end of the decade.

We need toplay USM, so we can avenge the last loss they hung on us. They have a motto, Anytime, Anywhere. We should take them up on it. That is better than USL, D1aa, etc.

Southern Mississippi - 11 games in 2004, scheduled for 2007
    Wyoming - 11 games in 2004
    Ball St. - 11 games in 2004
    Boise St. - 11 games in 2004
    Bowling Green - 11 games in 2004
Hawaii - 13 games in 2004 (Hawaii rule)
Mid Tenn. St. - 10 games in 2004, maybe best possibility
Nebraska - - 10 games in 2004, this would be cool
    Notre Dame - 11 games in 2004
    Oregon - 11 games in 2004
Pittsburg - Already have 4 OOC games, but I dont know how the Big East conference schedule will play out.
    Purdue - 11 games in 2004
    Stanford - 11 games in 2004
    Texas A&M - 11 games in 2004

So Nebraska and MTSU are the only two available from that list, and it would be tough to get Nebraska here because we would have to work out a home and home. We wouldnt make the return trip until the next 12 game season. Plus, they only have 5 home games scheduled for 2004, so you can bet they will get a cupcake to come to Lincoln for the 6th. MTSU seems like the most likely possibility. Of course, the Big East will only have 6 teams next year, meaning only 5 conference games. As it stands now, that only gives Pitt 9 games.

    look... (from Roanoke.com) (V-Tech AD re-sceduling comments)

Who will be the opposition for that new contest? Count on it being an I-AA opponent.

"I've already checked with every I-A team that goes to Hawaii next year, because when you go to Hawaii you're allowed an extra game in that year," Weaver said. "Every one of them, and I know the ADs, are all filled. I checked with San Jose State, Nevada, Tulsa and SMU.

"The only I-A team I know of that has an opening wants a 2-for-1, and I can't do that. I've got to have a one-shot deal. It's real tough. That's why a decision had to be made because LSU or Virginia Tech can't wait any longer."
