Vikings GM Rick Spielman addresses the Tebow topic: "He is a great individual," Spielman said. "I spent some time with him when we came out in the draft but we’re very satisfied where we’re at with our roster right now."
New York Post: --the new GM of Tebow’s hometown Jacksonville Jaguars, Dave Caldwell, said at his introductory press conference in January that he had zero interest in acquiring Tebow, and a team source confirmed yesterday that Caldwell’s feelings haven’t changed. --Seahawks GM John Schneider was asked by a Seattle radio station if he would consider adding Tebow. "Uh, no," he told 710 ESPN. --An NFC GM told The Post yesterday he would be "shocked" if Tebow is on an NFL roster as a quarterback this fall. "I have to think he’s radioactive to everybody as a [quarterback]," the source said. "Even if you were thinking about grooming him as a backup, the Jets thing showed he is this huge distraction. There isn’t enough talent there [as a passer] to put up with all that." --League sources confirmed that the few teams that contacted the Jets about Tebow were open to trading for him only if he was willing to move to tight end
More good ones: Obviously he has a big beef with not playing the QB position. He thinks he can slaughter it as a signal caller, and he refuses to kowtow to anyone. When asked how he felt about the Jets steering him out of town, Tebow admitted that initially he was udderly surprised, but in the end he had no beef with it and that it was time to mooove on. He couldn't wait to meat his new cowlection of teammates whom he fully expected to grill him about his days as an NFL QB and rib him about having to now hoof it in the minor leagues. This thread delivers. So does Tebow's new team..... A job offer of this caliber is certainly rare. It's no bull. For a player like Tebow, who is far from a well seasoned veteran, he should strongly consider it. To flat out reject the offer could rub other teams the wrong way. I mean, it could rub 'em dry. While the existing starting quarterback seems like a salty *******, Tebow may be able to thaw him out over time with his tenderness. If so, I'd say that's a job well done. No bones about it, Tebow has a tough choice ahead of him. Time to trim the fat. Time to cut the mustard. He's going to have to smoke out the best opportunity out there and get in some people's grills in the process. He may have to work hard to ensure that he is injected into the right program, but at the end of the day, I think things will pan out. he he.. ok I'll play... I wonder if the Nebraska Beef Council would approved this trade? When asked to comment Tebow replied, "Where's the beef?" In order for tebow to win that starting job, he is going to have to be out for blood. They are not gonna just hand it to him on a silver platter. If this fails, you can stick a fork in him, he's done. I've seen the playbook. They run mainly the Rib-I and Wing-T-bone formations. The prime play calling does offer a lot of choice that you can select from, however. But the question remains, will he be hungry enough to succeed? (from a guy in Omaha) lol wow.. hey Beef games are kinda fun though.. just sayin.. and their cheer leaders are called the Rumproasters.... I'm not making this stuff up...
