Tennessee Hospital Is Hiring; Smokers Need Not Apply - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com Hey, What about fat people? Are they next?
My company was totally non-smoking in the US for its first 20 years. Intl. had smokers, we couldn't find enough non smokers over there. Then some of the intl. folks transferred over here, and they were hired as smokers, so.... Our building has remained non-smoking, you have to go out to the parking garage to a designated smoking area. At least 90% do not smoke.
Does anyone care if the nurse changing your bed after you crapped yourself and can't go to the toilet because of an injury that has landed you in the hospital smokes, is overweight, or of a different sexual orientation than you?
no, not at all. but i own my own my own business and if id rather not hire someone who is a health risk, or i dont want to run the risk of someone smoking in my warehouse, then i want it to be my right not to hire them.
i dont care, but i respect the rights of people to hire or not hire people for whatever reason they choose.
I agree. I was just wondering if the zealousness with which some people responded extended to that level. It should be left up to companies whether they want it around or not. My personal belief is that choice should extend across the board.
