T. Cody does it again, blocks Tenn's game-winning 44-yard FG attempt, his 2nd FG block of the game. Incredible. Announcers are pointing out that Bama is lucky because Cody took his helmet off during the play, and because of that, Tenn should have gotten a rekick. For the game, Tenn misses three FGs: a 47-yard FG, a 44-yard FG and a 43-yard FG. In addition to Cody, the other Bama hero was Bama's kicker, Tiffin, who barely made a 49-yard FG and a 50-yard FG earlier. Bama wins 12-10. I have been lurking here for years, but I now must make a comment, I HATE ALABAMA!, and I can not believe that Tennessee let this one slip away. Seeing Alabama lose would have made my week but :nope:. I really wanted to see Saban cry like a little kid with a scraped knee!
Doesn't matter as the play was ongoing because the ball was still live. Anybody have an explanation as to why no Tenn players even made an attempt to recover/advance the blocked kick?
