I can't believe that you guys are accusing the husband of having some hidden motives in letting her go, you can say that he has already moved on with his life, as shown by him dating pretty quickly after she went into her vegetable state, but he would obviously feel more at peace if she finally passed away. Good quote from Sourdoughman right here:

    Guess, you missed this: http://www.kwwl.com/Global/story.asp?S=3065166

And guess what fellas, she has been essentially brain dead for 15 years now, she ain't coming back. Let her go.

    Guess you missed this:
    http://www.christianliferesources.c...l?displayContent&releaseID=3966&categoryID=45

    http://www.christianliferesources.com/cgi-bin/home.pl?SchiavoHistory

"In August, Terri Schiavo is awarded $250,000 in an out-of-court medical malpractice settlement with one of her physicians. Then, in November the medical malpractice trial against one of Terri's other physicians results in a $1 million malpractice judgment; $750,000 of that amount is put in a trust fund to pay for Terri's medical care."
Terri's parents and their supporters, along with several experts and former caregivers, say that Terri responds to her surroundings, laughs, follows some instructions and has tried to say "help me" and "mommy". They want Mr. Schiavo to use some of the $700,000 set aside from an insurance settlement to pay for rehabilitative therapies, including speech and swallowing therapies.
    Mr. Schiavo has refused.

I don't trust Mr. Schiavo and I think your article is bogus, don't believe it.
Not meaning the article isn't true but I think Mr Schiavo has other motives
which may or may not include $$$

Generally its not a good idea to starve or kill people that can breathe on their
own and respond to their surroundings.
If you people want to be pro-death its your choice.
Whom are you or anyone else here to decide when someone should be killed just because they don't have the same quality of life as you or I.

Pretty soon we will be opening up euthanasia camps to get rid of people and animals with less quality of life as some of you.
Some of you need some empathy.

    I rest my case

You're a joke, you think my article is bogus, it can be documented in numerous sources, yours is from the Christian Life Resources???

You are probably right, my article is bogus.

It is very typical that you would try to make this guy out to be a money-sucking, hidden agenda worker. Guy turns down $10M so that maybe he can get on with his life. But no, he is apparently trying to get some extra cash out of his brain-damaged wife. Let him do what he wants and get on with his life.

I said what I did because this is really getting ridicious.
Go back up to my post and read what I wrote.
I said the article was probably true but I don't trust or believe Mr.schiavo for
    a minute.

If he ever cared for his wife or their parents he would respect the parents wishes, it would not hurt him at all to turn away and totally forget about
Terri, he apparently already has forgotten since he has another family.

Why does he want her dead so much?
Why does he want to hurt her parents so much?

Their have been ex-nurses and other people all over the radio today showing
the other side of Michael Shaivo, you say it isn't proven.
Neither is Michaels saying that his wife wanted to die if this happened to her.

GO Back and read my previous post, I said the article was probably true.
I explained this already, I don't believe Michael Shaivo nor do I trust his word.
I am Suspicious, that is all.

Can anyone truthfully say that if this was their family member that they would want that person to live like this?

    I think not.

She wasn't in that state until Michael denied her "all treatments" that she needed.
Go to Fox news.com and see the video of Terri's former nurse, under politics.
    Fox news exclusive!

The truth is coming out, Michael Shaivo is trying to kill her and the courts are
going to aid and help him get away with murder.

I'd like to point out that whatever the particulars of this case may be the point of the whole exercise is to condition the American public to the idea of letting people die whose "quality of life" falls below a certain standard. After this type of thing is put in front of everyone's face a few times then the general opinion on this issue will probably (with some well placed pyschological massaging) be something to the effect of "well she's going to die so let's make it as painless as possible so she doesn't suffer". We will then be in the most "enlightened" position of killing those among us we consider inconvenient while they are still inside the womb as well as those unfortunate enough to be outside the womb but unable to pull their weight in our economy........or perhaps they just can't cut it at the cocktail party chatter anymore. How many husbands would dispose of their wives for the mortal foot-in-mouth/slip of the tongue in front of just the wrong people, eh? Or perhaps she got pregnant at the wrong time for his career....or, well you get the idea.....she's just become inconvenient, you know how it goes.....can't make an omlette without breaking a few eggs, right?

So my advice is stay lean and mean out there in our 21st century jungle, folks......'cause it don't pay to be found among the weak around here.

By the way, let's run down the checklist of good we've accomplished here in the last generation:

    1) No prayer in schools.......schools are much better now, don't you think?
    2) Abortion on demand............what's that?.....motherhood...well, that was overrated anyway....
    3) Soft porn on t.v........well, can't say I like to see my little girl with Britney Spears as a role model but hell, the family unit is not what it used to be.....
    4) Gay marriage.....well, hell the straight people aren't taking their jobs very seriously...just check out all the screwed up kids we've got now. God only knows the family unit can't get any worse, can it? Hush, honey, daddy's watching "Desperate Housewives"....
    5) Gun control laws, ah yes.......very effective....now if we can just keep them away from the kids.....
    6) And our society's latest contribution to mankind? Pulling out the goddamn feeding tube. Well, to hell with you folks, this country deserves whatever it gets.....

Don't forget that "here say" now means something in a court of law!
What do all the alarmists about government intervention and spouse rights
have to say about that? :dis:
