I can go with that. I probably would have reversed the order to recruting Daniel then Perriloux, since you KNEW Daniel was a UT guy, and there were doubts about RP being a UT guy. Regardless, tough situation. I'd be curious to know just how the conversations b/w RP and UT staff transpired over the last month or two. Of course we'll never know, but that's the crux of the story.
I was fortunate to be at the men's Bball game this Sat when we beat Miss St - this recruit and 5 others were sitting very close to me. Scuttle was if he signed, they'd all sign - anyone know more about this? I also heard that this should move LSU back into the top 20 in recruiting class... I was thrilled to hear FBall news at a men's game, 'cause I never hear anything up here in NC! BTW - the women's BBall game the next day was even better and the crowd was much more into the game (sorry to mix sports here..)
I don't disagree with you about Texas and it's lack of class. But Lane gets pretty bad treatment here, just the other day I read a thread where most agree that Lane is afraid of competition and worse was said about him than that. It's not to the level Texas fans are complaining about RP, but it's not all roses and wine here for Lane . . . most fans were pretty upset he went to Ole Miss, when we played Ole Miss a lot of fans here called him a loser.
