    No, I guess it's pretty much common knowledge.
    I love trout fishing, but have typically been more into reds, particularly sight casting. Well now that I live in Tejas, I'm interested in the big trout that swim around here. I'm going to Baffin in a few weeks, so we'll see what happens.

    I saw a speck mounted on the wall of a sporting goods store in Houston a few years ago. The plaque said it was 17+ pounds. I think the Louisiana record is under 13.

    TX state record is 15.6 lbs. 17 was probably caught on the Atlantic side in Florida.

    The trout here are long, plenty of 30" fish to be had. But if you catch a 28" trout in LA, it's gonna weigh more than the 30" TX trout.

    Same with the reds, which is why the tourney redfishermen make the run to LA if possible. Louisiana is Sportsman's Paradise
