Like everyone else, I was pretty down on Smoke for using Derek Hebert so much. Even questioning him batting against right handed pitchers. But here it is, the middle of the SEC season and Hebert is hitting .304 in SEC games with some pretty big hits the last few games while Hollander is hitting .185 in SEC games and is 0 for his last 16. Smoke is sticking by both of them. I think everyone including Smoke wishes Gill was at SS but he isn't and I have to give Hebert a lot of props for hanging in there, working hard to get his bat working and help us win some games. Especially after everything that has been said about him, the boo's he has heard at home games and the struggles he had at the plate.
Here's Guilbeau's take on it: http://www.acadiananow.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050429/SPORTS/504290349/1006
I'm quite surprised. Is that a positive piece on LSU by Guilbeau? The sky must be falling! :thumb:
