Steele is good. SECW should be an LSU/Bama see-saw next year when their injured guy gets better (Chuck Hanes?). D-Mitch is money. I would take him over any guard in the SEC this year - at the point or the 2.
I saw Steele play in high school many times. He is the best basketball player we have produced in the state since Ennis Whatley. I have a very strong bias towards LSU in any opinions that I might have. So that said, if you are looking for a pure point guard, Steele is the man. DMitch cannot begin to handle the ball like Steele. Steele is an incredible passer. Not fancy passes but if you watch him, every pass he throws is to the triple threat position for his teammates. This makes them better! History will show in the end if Steele stays 4 years that his career numbers and value to his team might surpass DMitch's value and numbers.
you speak of him like he is a god. in probably the biggest game of the SEC west, he lays an egg. 1 of his 2 games against LSU was good. Do you think that strikes fear in the hearts of the Tigers?
