Mett was amazing. Tiger Stadium was amazing LSU played amazing and was the better team tonight. Even with the heartbreak at the end, LSU fans can and should be proud. Give props where they are due, Bama has the heart of a champion and played up to the moment. We were the better team, and some bad playcalling, some bad luck, and some bad officiating helped them overcome that.
On a positive note, I think we found our QB. Something to be said for that. The receivers stepped up as well. I won't dwell on any of the negatives right here.
Mettenberger stepped up tonight. We had every opportunity to win this game convincingly tonight, I love you Les but you blew this one. Conservative when you have them on the ropes and gambling at poor times in this game, cost us. Chavis and the defensive calls at the end also cost us.
Our guys left it all on the field tonight. Our offensive coaching, not so much. Congrats to the LSU Tigers for an honorable, tough & hard-fought game. We love you guys!!!
Not necessarily. He could easily turn back into th pumpkin he has been thus far. One game does not a player make. But that bastard showed up and I'm proud of him for it. let's hope he runs with it and leads from here out.
Before the game I thought Bama was overrated and we would win the game. Right now I think Bama is overrated and we SHOULD have won the game. Somebody else said it. CLM had the team ready to play but he should have got out of the way and let them play. Forget the trick plays and weird formations. If you need a yard on fourth down to put the game away just run behind Turner, Alexander and Copeland. Simple.
