And why did they score that final TD? Because everybody's favorite backup QB couldn't move this team on a conveyor belt. Did you see how close he came to a pick six on 1st down?
Can you imagine if he would have thrown a pick six there?? My God, the kid would have been ruined for his career (what ever would be left of one).
On the flip side, Shep got his first Tiger TD. As CLM said on his post game show, "he did that like only someone like he could do that"...or something along those lines. It was fun to watch.
A win is a win. I know you don't want to give that one up but honestly the AU nation needed that one a lot more than we did. They seem to be headed to the dark days similar to what we went through in the 90's. We know what their fan base is going through! I do think that Russell Sheppard run gives a little more threat for others to worry about!
CLM made the right call by putting the defensive starters back in after Auburn's timeout. I'm glad to see he had the balls to do it and the starters got really fired up about it. They didn't stop them, but I really like the effort.
