And no throwing errors. I'll give you that he does not have a cannon like Deichman from the outfield but the kid hasn't played outfield since he was 8. There is only 1 instance that I remember where a better throw would have prevented a run, but that is way made up for by his speed to the ball where a lesser center fielder would have allowed runs. There is a balance in this kid that far exceeds his throwing prowess in preventing the runs he has. Not every day you see a freshman in the outfield IN center that can save a bad inning or 10 like Sparky has with that kind of the upside for the future. The kid is a stud already. I'll take a little weakness in throwing the ball from the deepest end of the outfield all day compared to the alternative. In as much as I love Duplantis, no way he fetches some of the bombs Sparky has hauled in.
I know you weren't, but that kid is my boy and the last thing he needs is ammo for tirk to dig. Not that it matters, tirk dogged on Bregman pretty hard for aggressive base running. As long as tirk is not happy, tigers are making it to the show. It just means... More
I would just like to see him take some more chances throwing. Thats all. I think he will as he grows into it.
OK, maybe I am wrong ans stupid, but in the MSU series he definitely left some energy on the field as the MSU base runner when home.
