State has been finding ways to win and we are simply winning. Got a few freshman to thank but yeah, we are on a new level right now and everyone has noticed. The only thing I could be nervous about at this time is the time off. We looked like cold shit after a few days off from the tourney and if there is anywhere Paul can be out coached, it is how he ran practice during the time off. I doubt it was the same as the week before the regional. It's show time and the kids are alright. Little stat for you; when LSU makes it to the supers, the even years are the not good enough years, the odd years are the move on up years. Folks wanna generalise CPM for choking in the supers but really, that's not right. Stoney Brook, is about the only time we got outcoached. Last year we simpy got beat by a team significantly better than us. So there is no pattern with us in the supers, we just gotta ball. All the guys we have now from last years supers have screen savers on their phones of Coastal Carolina dog pilling on our yard. So who wants it more? Brace yourselves, it's gonna be a ride.
Thanks for the pep talk! I'm not criticizing him in the Supers because we have faced some hungry teams, but he has choked at the wrong times since coaching us. We have had some must wins during the past seasons where he just came out flat and unprepared. Like I said though, as of late I've been happy with his decisions. It's kind of hard to second guess a guy with as many wins as he has, but he leaves me scratching my head sometimes. First game of regionals is an example, we were lucky our talent overcame our mental errors. When compared to Skip who pressed harder at this time, CPM seems to rely more on talent than hard work and preparation. Anyway hope we're at the Series.
You're good Joe. You echo what many Tiger fans are saying year in and year out. Paul will almost always leave you scratching your head when the talent can't keep up. This was a frustrating season almost all the way through to the SC series. Having to wait for the talent to gel is always a contradiction in the fans mind where as they would prefer he coached em up to perfection. One thing is certain, Paul ain't Skip, but it would be unrealistic to believe or expect him to be. If I appreciate any one thing from CPM, it is his ability to allow the team to dictate their own demise or success and right now, no one can argue with how well as a team they are playing. Playing flat in game 1 was due entirely to the talent despite the talent taking over at the plate. You can't coach 5 errors in 1 game, but I also agree you cannot relax your way into a performance situation. The tempo should always be there if you wanna remain competitive. As for this series, I am much more confident about the possibility than the last few years. Pitching has been key and we have not had a pen this deep in a good amount of years even back to the last time we were in eauxmaha. The last run where Poche had the yips and Lange was a freshman was about as deep as we were despite their performances. Offense was stout but the rotation was thin. Now we have the offense and a much deeper pen to make some noise so as long as we get there. Cannot look past the bells, but I will admit we certainly match better against them than we do others in the mix right now. The bottom of that bell order is pretty lame right now, but we gotta hit to make that favor us. Will be interesting to see how they answer to a sweep at their house, on the road. Andy will have em ready, but will they be ready enough?

Aggies put up a 7 spot in the 8th after trailing Davidson 6-2. Steph Currys school. Now 9-6. Two even teams but Davidson is warming up the busses for home. Florida up 1-0 over wake after a rain delay. Was hoping it fucked up the gators rotation. Missouri state up 2-1 over tcu in the 8th. This is a legit team.
