I remember one in Rosenblatt hit by Larson that was 30 ft above the fence and clearly still going up when it crossed us in the of. I always dismissed larsons bc it was just crazy what he did that one year.
One thing I saw that blew my mind more than a home run when we played GA Tech in the mid 90s regional and we hit 8 doubles in a tie game. In a half inning. I think 6 in a row. Think it was in an extra innings when it happened to break a tie. Then batted around like twice.
Yes, that was the team that forced them to redefine bat specs. If I remember right, every player on the team that had at least one official at bat that year hit a home run. Edit: had to go look it up. 1997, and I was right on that stat. Greg Deichmann led us in HR's last year with 11. In '97, 9 players hit 11 or more.
