Ever wonder why some asshole who knows little is often in a position of power. Because blind aggression is often rewarded in life. OSU was passive. Lsu was aggressive. The hair project a couple nights ago may have been the elixir or maybe the astroglide needed for CPMs ever tightening sphincter. This team was finally loose like Bertmans used to be. But I'm still not giving the tranny credit. They still have 2 games to win.
It sure is nice being on the other side of boneheaded coaching. Paul Casey made mistake after mistake. Should have replayed the Kwan hit yesterday, should have started Rasmussen today.
After yesterdays win, I fully expected LSU to take it today. They handled business and I will walk in to work Monday collecting some cash.
I expected LSU to win today somehow someway. But if you had told me before the game that the Tigers would score 4 runs I would have thought that the chance of winning would be slim. I thought we would have to score more because I certainly never expected Gilbert to come through with the game of his life. In the past some LSU pitchers have had memorable performances in big, pressure packed moments, Ben McDonald in the 87 regional vs A&M, Mike Sirotka 16 K's in the CWS Championship game. But I have never seen 3 consecutive games of domination when the stakes for each game was all or nothing the way Lange, Poche and Gilbert did this week. Throw in Hess and it was a performance for the ages.
