The 2017 LSU Baseball Season

Hess gets the nod tonight. If the rain gets done by then. I think we play San Diego and not Tony gwynns Alma mater. Time to rebound from the loss.

 

Should be ready for this USD team. They already have some very impressive wins against teams like USC, UCLA, Oregon, Vanderbilt and Notre Dame. These guys are kind of scrappy. They have wheels on the bags with 9 for 12 on stolen bases. As a team, they are batting .241, so with some solid pitching we should be able to contain. They are starting a closer, so the unknown is there.

We need a bounce back here and let there be no fucking around. Some small ball would be ideal in this game. Stranding I don't know how many Tigers over the weekend was pretty telling. Need to get off that shit and work them bags. Freeman has been killing it with the bunt lately, so there is a desire to play small ball, but the overall approach has shown different. Just show up and be Tigers and everything else will take care of itself.

 

You're right, we tried real good.

I haven't written off the baseball team and I'm taking out my annoyance on them; it also helps that I give as much a flip about baseball as I do gymnastics.

We did get good news today that Johnny's going bye-bye. Just watching to see if Alleva pulls an Alleva on this hire.

I rode by McNeese's baseball stadium today. Much improved since I went there.
