    How were they even able to vote for USC to be #1? I thought their ballots were only for #2-#25, with no opportunity to vote for #1?

    Espn/USA Today never agreed to the coach's voting the BCS Championship game the winner as Number 1. They stated that in one of their articles. The coach's association agreed to that with the BCS Championship Committee. ESPN/USA Today allows them to vote the way they want.

    I LOVE IT. These misguided football fans in South Carolina are really delusional. When I moved here in 1989, Southern Cal was picked as a pre season #1. Several people thought USC was actually University of South Carolina.

    Holtz had a vested interest in us not getting #1. If he could help taint our championship we wouldn't be as strong in recruiting.

    Which is why the next round of tweaking should emphasize the computers more and the polls less, instead of the other way around.

    It's funny that we don't play them the next couple of years because we would show them what we are all about. Holtz felt like he could do that since he won't be coming to Baton Rouge. Big Wus !
