A game doesn't have to be a blowout in order to expose a teams weakness. You don't know football if you didn't see any area of weakness, particulary Bama's offensive line, getting exposed during the second half of our game.

If that's the point, why didn't LSU do that in the first half? The adjustment, was made at halftime.

There is a continuation of bring the depth factor in this discussion...when there isn't a lot of changes along the OL from the majority of the teams in the NCAA.

The pressure being put on Brodie wasn't about depth. It was about what the OL were doing. Therein, is the reason I discount the depth issue.

That is such bullsh*t, Terry. After 11 games, of which they won the 1st 9, suddenly you are saying how right you were? What about 9-0. Were you wrong then? Jeez, you're a better fan than that.

If LSU went to the Rose Bowl against USC and lost 10-9 on a last second field goal, some would be on here screaming that LSU's conservatism finally cost them. Is that the kind of idiot you want to be?

There many elements at play here and everybody is making good points.

Depth is certainly a factor. Key injuries to Closner and Prothro hurt Bama because there were no capable replacements. Terry makes a point that it was perhaps not the key factor, but still, it clearly had its effect.

Terry is certainly in a position to know if there are also coaching issues at play concerning Bama. It's a subject we haven't talked about much around here and likely know little about. So . . . enlighten us, Terry. What is it that we don't know?

LSU did expose their weak Offensive Line and the confidence of the OL and Croyle were shaken coming into the Iron Bowl.

AU and Bama exposed that our offense isn't as potent as it should be with the talent level. LSU has real problems with scoring against decent defenses. With the talent we have, we should have beaten Auburn by 2 touchdowns and Bama by at leas 2 touchdowns. The 1st half offense seems to struggle mightily.

Granted we didn't have Addai to help the offense agains Bama, but we still should've not been taken to OT by either of these teams. I have been saying it over and over again, the offense struggles consistently in the 1st half except against cupcakes.

This is your Auburn colored glasses talking.

LSU beating Bama a week before and ruining their perfect season might have taken an edge off Bama dont you think.

Looked to me like Bama was clearly a little down in the first half of your game.

I guess it must have been due to the Auburn intimidation. Not the fact they had been given the loss at home , probably lost their SEC and NC hopes, and were on the road .

I am glad that LSU beat both the Bama and Bama Light ( Barners ) teams.

It must really suck knowing that you beat Bama and yet your still the Tulane of Alabama.

I will say simply that I have utmost respect for the Auburn program. They are and will be solid for years to come under Tubby-villain.

This is a tad too much even for me. I cannot allow this to go unchecked. Every game recently has had a story to it, and ALL of them are because of Auburn's actions, not LSU. Smoking Cigars, stomping on the eye, throwing swings at Tiger Band, running up the score with 2 seconds left...it goes on and on. Tubby is lucky he didn't get fired 2 years ago.

You may respect them, but they sure as hell don't respect LSU. I personally will never respect them until Tuberville is gone because I was in Tiger Band when Duval made an ass of himself in 2001. I guess Tiger Stadium is an Auburn kicker's nightmare.
