Thats just your assumption. In no way did that article state that the players did no work at all and received free grades. But...keep spinning it every which way that you see fit. I'm sure your losing sleep over this whole thing.
I'm not spinning it at all. According to the article "It would be impossible for one proffessor to legitimately take on that workload". Meaning SOMEONE was getting credit for a course they were probably not taking. And so far you barners only response is "spin it how you want" but none of you can offer another explanetion. HE GAVE CREDIT FOR MORE COURSES THAN HE COULD HAVE TAUGHT!!!!!!! Understand? Who got credit for theses courses? We don't know that right now. Was something fishy going on? It kinda looks possible. Did the wrongdoings include athletes? My guess is yes along with a lot of other students.
dude its pointless. they are in full denial mode much like their step-brothers down the road not long ago. all the finger-pointing they did recently at them is causing this reaction of its not their fault or they did nothing wrong. clearly, there is some wrongdoing. to what extent, we dont know yet. to deny it so emphatically makes them look even more foolish. just let them continue. once the dust settles, you can almost guarantee you'll be much closer in your assessment. red is correct, the administration better not try to play dumb as their fanbase is attempting or turn a blind eye. address it, fix it and slap yourself on the wrist with imposed sanctions if need be. otherwise there could be hell to pay if the ncaa has a hard-on for them.
This happened in Spring of '04. We fixed it in Fall of '05. SACS wrote about this in their last report and it has already been addressed. They knew about it, and we fixed it. I'm not saying this is good by any means. No the teacher should not have been teaching that many classes, but it was an academic issue, not an athletic one. The NCAA won't have anything to say about this. SACS has already cleared it like I said. I am not worried.
If this happened spring of '04 why didn't the sociaology professor that did the ratting not find out until fall of '04 while watching a footbal game on TV?
I have read through the posts from the Auburn boys. I now believe there is no basis for the allegations. In fact, the work done by the student athletes was above and beyond the call of duty, given they had no teacher present most of the time. These athletes should be properly rewarded in the Auburn tradition... a fake trophy and new rings.
we'll find out soon enough. you not being worried has nothing to do with anything. though it does sound like you barners have already repeated these points ad naseum that you've convinced each other all is copacetic. small detail you overlook is that none of you know all the details either. you're just pretending what you know thus far is all there is to it. sounds to me like theres more than you care to or should i say want to admit. any logical mind can pretty much conclude that. you guys are obviously exempt from that group.
