You are absolutely correct. When I mentioned in a thread a month ago that I would love to see AU or SC get the call for the big game over the other and watch these two lovebirds turn on each other, well some of the Auburn posters here laughed and chuckled, (mainly cause they did'nt understand what I was getting at) but now that the scenario is beginning to unfold, they are beginning to throw jabs. It's going to be great fun to watch, and laugh and ........................I honestly can't wait.

Sigh. Strength of schedule is still included in the 7 computer polls, just not in the composite index of computer polls. Removing it from the composite index caused it to not be taken into account twice as it was last season. What will keep AU out (if OU/USC goes undefeated) is both the increased weight on the human polls as well as preseason bullchit rankings.

There's still a long way to go this season for Auburn. They may have the SECW all but locked, but they've got a long way to go to get to the orange bowl. I think there will be one unbeaten and a 4 once beatens. My hope is that AU drops one of their remaining reg season games, then loses in the SECCG to give them 2 losses, shatter their BCS dreams and send them to a lesser bowl than LSU. At some point this year, the real Tubbs will make an appearance.

There might be two unbeaten teams but you're probably right. It would be highly unusual to have 3, it has happened but not often.

We know SOS is still a part of the computer rankings, however it has been lessened to a point where it will not get AU to leap OU or USC. Last year we would have leaped USC in the BCS and started the contraversy. The focus changed when OU lost to K St. LSU would have been in the title game under either the 2003 or 2004 version of the BCS. AU better start pulling for a loss by USC or OU. There will not be a split BCS and AP champion this year in my opinion.

Yes, Sir Andrew your arroganceship, I am aware of that. But the computers carried equal weight last year. Under the present system, what the human polls want the human polls get.

    Our remaining SEC games:

    UK
    Ole Miss
    UGA
    Bama

You really think we'll lose 3 of those games?
