Hey Consensus, I know exactly what you mean. I'll stand up and start screaming while we're on defense and people behind me say "Sit down!" It pisses me off so bad. We ain't in the stadium to just sit, chill out, and talk to the people. I don't wanna hold a conversation during a game. I'm here to scream and go crazy for 60 minutes. Geaux Tigers!

AMEN!!!! Since LSU has been winning, it's been a big social deal to be at the games. You know how hard it is to find tickets (if you're one of the unfortunate souls not to have season passes?) It's ridiculous, mostly because of the rich-ass alumni who probably really could care less about LSU football. It's getting ugly... There should be some sort of test you have to take before being granted entry into the hallowed grounds which are TS. Kinda like a huntin' license or some high-school abstinence program... but, I digree..

My seats are in the south endzone, in our section if you DON"T stand up and cheer you will get "looked at." As long as you're not doing anything stupid, stand up and scream / cheer the whole game if you want to. My children love to see fans with passion at the game (as long as they aren't using profanity). I'm standing up most of the game. Is anyone else like me, I get so excited, I ALMOST don't like watching LSU on television. I get all the nervous energy out of me at a game.

Good fans that make a lot of noise at games are great. But, as you said I dont want to hear people using profanity. Personally, I dont like to stand the whole game. I'll stand on a fourth down play, or if the team there is a big pick or touchdown or something like that. I'll also stand if everyone else is standing. But, I prefer to sit down and watch the game. Last year I sat in those bleachers that were right above the tunnel where the visiting team came out. I think i was right above a WBRZ sign or something. I never really had to worry about st anding b/c it was mostly media people. But, for Oregon St I had 50 yard line seats in the yellow seats. Best experience at a football game .It was awesome.

EU and we are more like the Catholic Church. Stand / sit depending on what's going on but not standing for the sake of standing. However it doesn't take much to bring us to our feet. Plenty of applause and high five amoung the folks sitting in the area. No profanity so that's cool. Most everyone has come to know each other at least at the stadium so it's kinda like a weekly reunion. Hard to believe it's been 4 years.

And as far the lighting if it has changed I like the bright lights. As far the commercialism around the stadium it's gonna happen. As long as it stays outside the white lines I can deal with it. I would hate to see a Bank one emblem painted in one corner of the endzone or something like that. The saturn races which I hate seem to be gathering interest during the TV timeouts or so it sounds that way when I listen to the crowd and the race concludes.

My slice of heaven on earth, N41, very much the same way. However, no one drinks fire water during the game in our area. People are there to what football, support the Tigers 110%, and chew out fans who leave before the end of the game! Alabama, not Auburn, is the great satan with the middle aged in this 'hood.

You're right. I love my south endzone seats, but there are guys around us that in their exuberant enthusiasm, and inebriation, sometimes feel the need to curse loudly throughout the game and berate fans that choose to sit down for a play or that don't enjoy some of their antics. These guys are in a certain tailgating crew and have been discussed for their behavior on this board before. Despite their sometimes over the top behavior, they usually contribute to the south endzone still having the excitement and fan power that makes Tiger Stadium special. :geauxtige
