    i guess since i grew up in the 80's and nineties and graduated LSU in 99, i have no basis for comparision so this is all i know. all i know is dan borne. guess its the same reason why i like hawthorne but so many seem to dislike him.

    I'm 35 and grew up in BR. Hawthorn, for all his warts, is all I remember. I very much like him. His voice IS the tigers for me.

    I also have no prob with a homer announcer, but he should be accent, not a distraction. I have never been thusly distracted at TS.

    I too miss the scoreboard-wide LED-like display summarizing the results of every play. "Alexander roars for 12". The jumbotron takes away some of the pain, however, with actual replays. The abuse that ensued is unbearable.
