Miles stated on his radio show a few days back that if we won the toss he would defer.

Personally I agree with this call. Shut down their offense early and get the crowd in the game.

 

I agree either way. But with their defense being weak, I feel getting on the board first would a huge advantage in this game.

 

I had the opportunity to visit a bit with Don Long last night at a function here in Lafayette. He is a class act and indeed is "purple and gold through and through. " What you see is what you get, there is no BS or pretension about him. Need more men like him in this world for sure. Go Tigers !!!!

 

I always love this strategy too. It really lets the enthusiasm of crowd flow from the pregame right into the game.

 

Yep, make a statement with an opening defensive stand get the ball to start the second half.
