After a disappointing season and a loss to Cal in a bowl game (how embarrassing!), the football gods continue to lay their wrath on the Virginia Tech program: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/news?slug=vatechvick&prov=st&type=lgns Doh!
What's new? I don't want to say "this happens everywhere" but when your last name is Vick......... Sounds like a Colorado porn party.
Officer, they said they were 18. Honest. I mean, look at em. They look 18 to you? They looked 18 that night. Course, me the boys knocked down a case fore dem girls got here.
There is an article on Sportsline.com right now about the problems being seen with recruiting right now, mostly dealing with Colorado. This quote taken from the article is damn funny, especially coming from Mickey Mouse Terry Bowden... "If I had a player that got a recruit laid, that player would be in serious trouble with me if I found out about it," said college football analyst Terry Bowden, a former Auburn coach. "(But) 18-to-22 year olds are masters at doing things without coaches knowing, and believe me, sex wasn't invented yesterday." After reading Willie Williams account of his trip to Auburn, I guess the farmer girls do not put out. You would think a person in Bowden's position could use a little better word then "laid".
I'm not so certain that's true...I think it has more to do with the fact that theses young ladies reek of spinach dip, and that's enough to put a damper on any young man's libido.
The way Bowden so casually tosses that phrase around leads me to believe that some of that may have been going on while he was HC at Auburn. Believe it or not, it's not that uncommon a deal...one of the things that got SMU the "death penalty" back in the 80's was the fact that they were actually going out and getting high priced call-girls for their recruits...actual pros, as opposed to just setting these kids up with campus sluts (which would be bad enough). Then there's the whole Kimberly Dunbar affair (affairs?) at Notre Dame, which brought sleaze to a whole different level.
hey, I've seen He's Got Game when Jesus Shuttlesworth gets "taken care of" on one of his basketball recruiting trips by 2 hotties. I would have given anything to be in that position in one point in my life! But alas, i am a marginally average white guy with average athletic talent in my late 20s, so its a married life for me.
