I said Saban was a GOOD coach. I don't believe he was a great coach. Great coaches are few & far between, with generally no more than 2 or 3 in the league at any given time. But there's quite a few good coaches that can recruit & do the things Saban did to win games. For instance, no program in the SEC has a GREAT coach right now, yet plenty of great teams. I'm not discounting what Saban did for LSU. I'm just putting extra appreciation for LSU's role in it's own success & pointing out why Saban was able to be so successful. The reason I'm doing that is because I believe Miles has all of the same abilities as Saban & will keep LSU as a top program.
