People always used the analogy of Miles being handed 'the keys to a Ferrari', and that's fine. So tell me, then, if you were used to driving Fords all your life, would you drive that Ferrari like Mario Andretti your first trip around the block? I don't think so. You'd probably pop the clutch, accelerate too fast, and possibly lose control of the vehicle. That much power takes time to get control of. Get it?
not defending him but he is here and we're not on top. Sadly his accessement of the importance of this game is pretty accurate. Drama filled as it is. definately a turning point for one of the two teams. Actually, Miles SHOULDN"t lose another SEC game this year IF he wants the LSU ( media, fans, etc.. etcc ) to grin. Of course some would grip over one lose. :dis: But after the way this year's team was touted, Miles came in with a nearly no win situation unless he can get to the SEC CG, anything else and I'd bet the bad Miles talk rings loud and clear everywhere. to be honest, there really is no excuse not to at LEAST win the West with the bunch of players we have, and unfortunaley no matter who's fault it is at the end of the year they always blame the coach.
The debate over who would have won a USC v. LSU game in 2003 will have to go on forever. Although USC could have beaten us last year and could beat us this year, I will never waiver from my position that we would have beat USC in 2003. I think that you agree with me, but I'm just sayin' my piece!
Hey, Folks!! Listen up. The game against Florida is no more important than all of the other SEC games left on our schedule. Let's not put too much importance on this game. Let's not over-react regardless of what happens on Saturday. Now, if we finish the season with a 7 - 4 record, THAT might be the time to complain a bit . . . BUT JUST A BIT.
