    Having fun? They went there for a tour and had a great time according to some band members I know. You have to admit it's pretty amazing to see Trojans marching through Rome playing Tribute to Troy.

    They wanted to come to the State Capital but the govenor wouldn't give them a permit, so they decided to go to Rome instead. :hihi:

    I have to admit I'd love to know what was going through those Europeans' heads when they saw that. They were probably like "WTF is that?!"... I don't think marching bands are very common thing over there. Sorta like cheerleaders, I remember way way back in high school some people hosted some students from France. They were very intrigued, awe struck, enthralled, etc, with the cheerleaders at our football game. They'd seen that stuff on some American TV shows but weren't sure that's really how it was. It was kinda funny to watch them.

    My favorite is the drum circle over by the amphitheater before the band walks down the hill. Man, do I love to hear those guys pounding way on those drums!

    It smacks of that ultra-intense collegiate football aura...big stadiums, bright lights, high stakes, big plays, and overall intimidation.

    don't take this the wrong way, but "I HATE THAT SONG"

    Pretty cool to march in front of the Coliseum though. Maybe one day they'll be able to march at Death Vallley again.

    :rofl::rofl:

    Not taken the wrong way. It's not the first time I've heard that sentiment, believe me. It gets played over and over and over and over........

    I was actually waiting to get nuked for even posting it.

    Geaux Tigers. :yelwink2:

    Sort of off topic, but whenever I hear the National Anthem I always expect to hear the champagne poppers at "the bombs bursting in air." And, of course, unless I'm in Tiger Stadium (or Tiger Stadium South, aka the Super Dome) I'm usually disappointed.

    Why is it that those are the only 2 stadiums that do that? I thought it was normal activity until I started traveling and realizing no one else doess it.
