What I don't get is why he could make such a statement after just 3 games.

I couldn't watch the game. What's up with the TE's? Not a single catch. With a young qb, if we don't use them now, we never will.

I know what I've seen so far. A very good and talented RB. Not Hershel, Bo or Adrian.

Did you see Hershel's first three games?

Hershel received basically all the carries, as did Bo and Adrian. Peterson was slated to split carries until the upperclassman ahead of him was injured. Les has never given a guy that kind of workload, even when he should. Jeremy Hill was head and shoulders above every back on our roster last year and even he rarely saw a 20-carry workload. That's just not CLM's MO. Especially with two seniors on the roster who he trusts...and needs to showcase for their futures.

Put that kid anywhere else this year (aside from a handful of schools like Bama, Georgia, SC, Miami, and Nebraska who already have elite guys) and the coach is probably force feeding him 20-25 carries. RB is all about rhythmn. You can't expect a guy to change the face of the position on 10 carries. If LF was given 25 touches per game I believe we would see the all-world talent he truly is. Barring injury to other ball carriers, we probably continue to see LF with about 10-12 carries per game. With his KR and pass catching duties he'll still lead the team in All-Purpose yards.

I understand your point and don't see it as a slight, but you have to see the difference in philosophies at play. The position has changed drastically over the last five years. Very few backs at any school get the kind of work load those all-time great guys used to get. He's one of those talents that would get that workload in most places. He and Williams will be the elder statesmen at the position next year. And I believe he will be fully unleashed then.

False again. You cannot be a superstar with 10 carries per game.

I don't care who you are.

Yea he had close to 85-90 touches by then.

    LF7 has 31.....

Like, that is a huge difference.
