True; the line did Fournette and Magee no favors, but why did it work for Hilliard? Luck? Skill? Better vision?

They blocked better in the second half after Wisconsin lost a couple of DL starters. Hilliard was the workhorse with the hot hand by then.

Lack of depth on the DL really cost Wisconsin this game . . . that and the "benching" of Gordon.

Someone said that he got nicked during the game, don't know for sure.

Gordon says he was fine and expected to play more. Anderson is saying nothing. I suspect that Gordon was in the doghouse for something.

It didn't work for Hilliard in the first the half either. By the 4th quarter the OL was blowing nice holes open that any of the backs should have been able to run through.

There had to have been some kind of adjustment made by Grimes and the OLine to combat the movement and stunts by Winconsin. OLine looked like a different animal in the 4th quarter.

Maybe. But I think it was more of Wisconsin losing two DL starters. They just didn't have the depth to lose those guys. Our O-line pushed them around a bit.

It would not surprise me to see Porter return to center after his suspension and Pocic go to right guard. Grimes said that he would play his best players and Pocic looks better than Hoko to me.

Fournette made mistakes but there was opportunity out there for him. A screen pass thrown behind him. An awful pitch out that he did not handle, setting up a beautiful Diarse TD catch. He and Magee ran out of the read option most of the night. LSU were terrible executing that play. Fournette did have a nice kickoff return in the second half.
